Middle States Region Hallmark Awards Program 2012

Mission Statement: The Middle States Region Hallmark Awards Program, which reflects the scholarly ideals of Phi Theta Kappa, serves to recognize superior individual and chapter achievement in Society programs. In this program, chapters compete against one another. Participation encourages excellence, reflects fairness, recognizes quality, and leads to enhanced student, advisor, and chapter development.

The Middle States Region Hallmark Awards Program is a competitive awards program that recognizes individuals and chapters for excellence in the Society's Hallmarks of Scholarship, Leadership, Service and Fellowship.

For the 2012 Middle States Region Hallmark Awards Program, chapters may report their activities completed from January to December 2011. Final entries for chapter and individual award categories must be received at Gloucester County College by Thursday, January 26, 2012. The 2011 Middle States Regional Hallmark Awards will be presented at the 24th Regional Convention in Harrisburg, PA-February 10-12, 2012.

New submittal procedures for 2012!

The chapters of the Middle States Region will have the opportunity to submit their chapter entries electronically via email for the 2012 Middle States Region Hallmark Awards Program.

All chapters will have the opportunity to submit their work for critique only by a team of Middle States Region Advisors provided that we receive the chapter’s work by January 13, 2012. Advisors will read entries and provide feedback to your chapter’s entries for the Honors in Action and College Project Hallmark Award categories based on content and adherence to the Hallmark Awards Program rubrics, spelling, grammar and overall presentation.

Chapter Advisors will receive feedback via email by January 20, 2012. This will provide chapters an additional week to improve their chapter’s entries, if necessary, and re-submit to the Middle States Region no later than January 26, 2012.

Chapters are strongly encouraged to submit the same entries to International Headquarters via the Online Hallmark Awards System by their February 2nd, 2011 deadline.
